Add or update a community listing

My Hunters Hill is a free community and events directory platform created to connect residents with local groups, clubs, and services in the Hunters Hill Municipality. This platform provides an opportunity for local community-based groups and events to be advertised on the Hunter’s Hill Council website.

Here are the detailed instructions on how to create and update a community listing on My Hunters Hill. Please read the terms and conditions before you start using the platform.

Eligibility

Step 1.Who can be part of the Community Directory?

To be included in the Community Directory, your group must be

  • a community-based group or not-for-profit organisation based in the Hunter’s Hill Council local government area
  • a service provider that residents would reasonably expect to find in this type of directory.

    Please note that we do not accept business listings. Only one directory listing per service/program is allowed. Read our full Terms of Use in the 'terms' tab.

To be included in the Community Events listing, your event must be

  • a community-focussed or not-for-profit event based in the Hunter’s Hill Council local government area

Step 2.How to create a My Hunters Hill account

Creating an account on My Hunters Hill is simple and easy! You only need a valid email address and password to create an account on My Hunters Hill. Once your account is created, you will need to verify your email. An email will be sent with instructions on how to verify and log in.

We recommend that community groups use a shared email address relevant to their organisation to allow access for all authorised members to add or edit pages linked to the account, as needed.

Add listing

Step 1.Log into your My Hunters Hill account

Step 2.Select 'Submit directory' or 'Submit event'

Select either 'Submit directory' or 'Submit event' on the My Hunters Hill dashboard

Step 3.Complete and submit form

  • Answer all questions in each field of the form thoroughly.
  • Provide an image with dimensions of 1140 x 750px. Ensure that you have the rights to use and distribute all supplied images.
  • Select all categories that apply to your group or event.
  • Submit your listing/event for approval once the form is completed.

Step 4.Publication

Once your listing or event is submitted, you will receive a confirmation email when it has been approved and published onto our website. Please note that it may take up to seven business days for listings to be reviewed and approved.   

Manage listing

Step 1.Log into your My Hunters Hill account

Log in

Step 2.Select 'Manage pages'

Select 'Manage pages' on the My Hunters Hill dashboard to view and manage all the pages that you have created.

Step 3.Edit listings

  • Locate the relevant event or directory listing you would like to edit and select the three dots under 'manage'.
  • Choose 'Edit page' from the dropdown menu to update content on the listing page.
  • Choose 'Delete page' from the dropdown menu to delete the listing entirely and remove it from the Hunter's Hill Council website.

Step 4.Submit for approval

Once all your changes have been made to the page, submit your listing for approval. Please note that it may take up to seven business days for your request to be reviewed and approved.

The online community and events directories connect residents with local community organisations, businesses and services in the Hunters Hill municipality. 

ELIGIBILITY 
Community and Events Directories

To be included in the Community Directory, your group must be a community-based group or not-for-profit organisation based in the Hunter’s Hill Council local government area, or a service provider that residents would reasonably expect to find in this type of directory.  

Events listed in the directory must also be based in the Hunter’s Hill Council local government area and be community-focused. 

Council will make this assessment based on its knowledge of residents and their needs. We will assess each service provider and any commercial/private listing requests in the context of their broader community benefit. 

It is your responsibility to maintain your community directory and events listing to ensure your details remain up to date. Council accepts no responsibility or liability for any errors and requires that community organisations regularly check their listing for errors. 

PRIVACY AND COMPLIANCE 
Username and Password 

You must protect the username and password used to log-in to your account on Hunter’s Hill Council’s website.  

If you believe your account has been compromised, you must reset your password and contact Council’s Privacy Officer immediately. 

Privacy Collection Statement 

Hunter’s Hill Council is collecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998. 

The purpose of collecting your personal information is to obtain and record details to provide information and services to the community.  

By registering your group/organisation in this directory, the information provided will be publicly available for anyone to access, copy and download from Council’s website. This information may include, but is not limited to, email, address and telephone number. The supply of this information is voluntary and Council accepts no liability or responsibility for misuse of this information. 

Council reserves the right to use the information submitted on our website to promote community listings and events on our other channels such as Council’s social media channels, electronic newsletters and printed materials. 

Council will not use the information provided in this directory to update contact information held by Council or in other corporate systems. If you wish to access or make an amendment to information held by Council or if you would like your information removed from the community directory, please contact the Privacy Officer by emailing info@huntershill.nsw.gov.au. 

Your information will be collected and stored in accordance with the State Records Act 1998. 

Compliance 

It is unlawful to discriminate on the basis of sex, pregnancy, age, race, political or religious beliefs unless covered by an exemption under relevant legislation. Hunter’s Hill Council will not accept community listings or events that appear to be contrary to law. 

Council reserves the right to reject, edit or remove any listing from this directory at its discretion. 

Council is not liable for any loss or damage incurred by business or community groups as a result of any failure or delay in listing your organisation in our directory. 

The advertiser indemnifies Hunter’s Hill Council against all claims, actions, suits, liabilities, costs and expenses incurred as a result of their listing on this site or any related site.
