Preparing your artwork

If your artwork is not prepared properly, it may be rejected when delivered for accessioning. Please make sure you read the following information carefully.

  • All artwork (excluding sculptures) must be DRY and framed, or professionally presented. They must be ready for display with wire and medium to large D-ring hanging devices – as shown below.

Example of D Ring devices

  • DO NOT use TRIANGLE shaped Hangers or very small D-Rings. They will not work with the art hanging system hooks used in the Exhibition and your artwork will not be able to be hung. You will be asked to fix the hangers before your artwork is accepted.
  • There should be no screw eyes or projections on the artwork that could cause damage.
  • Frames or hanging devices requiring repair work will be rejected.
  • Framed area of all artworks is not to exceed 180cm by 150cm.
  • Triptych & diptych artworks must be attached together as if one artwork – otherwise they will be treated as separate entries. The whole artwork including frame should not exceed 180cm x 150cm.
  • Hanging Art works must not exceed 15kg.
  • AI Generated artwork will not be accepted.

Sculptures:

  • All Sculptures must be dry and cured.
  • Sculptures – up to 50kg (Sculptures over 20kg may need to be positioned by the Artist prior to Opening).
  • Sculptures and ceramics will not be displayed in cases for this Exhibition. Please do not enter artworks that have delicate protrusions that could easily be compromised when being handled and placed.
  • Sculptures must be handcrafted. 3D printed artworks will not be accepted.
