Native bee workshop

Learn all about native bees, both the solitary and social ones, at a native bee workshop, jointly hosted by The Happy Hens and Hunter's Hill Council.

This informative workshop will take place on Sunday 27 October from 10am - 12pm at the Henley Green Community Garden, 2 Crown Street, Henley.

Beekeeper, Gavin Smith will facilitate the workshop and delve into the intriguing topics of bee nesting biology, bee foraging biology, diversity of wild bees, importance of bees in natural systems, stingless beekeeping in Australia, using stingless bees for pollination of gardens, sugarbag honey and much more. He will also share tips and tricks on managing native bees, including how to extract honey from them.

Registrations are required for this workshop and can be made by email to Council's Bushcare Management Officer, Jacqui at info@huntershill.nsw.gov.au.
