Child Car Safety

Did you know that 2 in 3 child car seats are not fitted correctly? Or that a child is twice as likely to be injured if using the wrong seat?

Whenever children are in a car, they must be safely buckled up in child car seats that are correct for each child’s age and size.

Hunter's Hill Council offers access to a free child car seat fitting service for residents via a voucher program. The latest round of vouchers is valid on Fridays at our local fitting station, located at P1 Carpark of the Royal North Shore Hospital, off Reserve Rd, St. Leonards from 9am - 4pm on 30 August until 11 October. To signup for a session, you can contact the road safety officer by emailing roadsafety@huntershill.nsw.gov.au, or you can call 9911 3536 or 9911 3576.

If you wish to have your child car seat checked at other times, please do so with an Authorised Fitter.
