Councillor Virgara was elected to Council at the 2021 local government elections. 

Cr Virgara has lived in Gladesville and Hunters Hill with her husband and 4 children for more than a decade, with her children attending Villa Maria Primary School and St Joseph’s College. 

Cr Virgara is an experienced legal and governance professional who is committed to working toward consensus building and informed decision making to enhance the maintenance, presentation and amenity of key public spaces in the community, including Figtree Park, Boronia Park, Garibaldi Village and Hunters Hill Village. 

Cr Virgara provides Council with oversight, experience and expertise about procedural correctness and the importance of putting strategy in place to ensure efficient governance. Her demonstrated analytical skills provide Council with direction about setting clear objectives. 

Supporting and attending local events, in addition to chairing on Council’s Bushland Management Advisory Committee (BMAC) and sitting on Conservation Advisory Committee (CAP) and Sport and Recreation Advisory Committee, provides Cr Virgara with a demonstrated understanding of important local issues.
