Cr Prieston was elected to Council at the 2021 local government elections, and re-elected in 2024 as Deputy Mayor. 

Being born and raised in Hunters Hill, and now living on the Peninsula with her partner, Cr Prieston thoroughly understands the needs of the local community. 

Having practiced as a corporate lawyer at MinterEllison for the past four years, Cr Prieston brings governance expertise to Council, ensuring robust procedure is adhered to and providing sound advice on policy and engagement frameworks.  

She is Chair of the Events and Cultural Committee on Council and is passionate about promoting community events and experiences that provide opportunities for inclusiveness and social experience. 

Cr Prieston also has an active interest in encouraging participation in sport and recreation, along with youth representation in feedback to Council. Cr Prieston hopes to foster inter-generational involvement in the Hunters Hill community and to further the sense of pride that Hunters Hill residents feel about their local area.
