Hunter’s Hill Council protects privacy by complying with its obligations under the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (PPIP Act).

Council may collect and analyse information about how people access our website and use our services. Council is committed to security and privacy measures that ensure that only the information we need is collected and any identifying data is made secure and private.

Council has an obligation under the PPIP Act to ensure that any personal information held ‘is protected, by taking such security safeguards as are reasonable in the circumstances, against loss, unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure, and against all other misuse.’

Council will, from time to time, collect, analyse and interpret information to help:

  • meet objectives and obligations
  • communicate information to users about engagement opportunities, events, and other initiatives
  • respond to inquiries and otherwise engage with stakeholders.
