Buffalo Creek slam dunk
Published on 13 September 2023
Local basketballers can now play, train and slam dunk in the newly upgraded basketball space at Buffalo Creek Reserve.
The existing space at the reserve was reconstructed, resurfaced and painted with high-grade sports court surfacing along with new line markings and a basketball hoop as part of its transformation into a three-point hardstand court.
The fresh court provides a new and exciting dimension for games and an important training facility for local players; and is now open, just in time for the 2023 spring school holidays.
Funded by the NSW Greater Sydney Crown Land Open Space Activation Program grant, this work is part of the series of improvements planned for Buffalo Creek Reserve to enhance the condition and utilisation of the reserve and enhance safety.
Other works planned for Buffalo Creek Reserve, including constructing a new cricket pitch, installing new LED lights and improving the existing flying fox, are expected to commence mid next month.
Renewing the footpath at the reserve is also proposed for later this year.
