Ushering in the festive season at Carols
Published on 08 December 2024
The Christmas spirit was alive in Hunters Hill on Sunday night with locals embracing the season at our annual Carols in the Park event.
Mayor Zac Miles officially opened the event, inviting everyone to join in the festivities.
“It’s always wonderful to celebrate Christmas in Hunters Hill at our annual Carols in the Park event and to see everyone in the community gather together," he said.
“It’s the best time of the year and I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year with their loved ones”.
Talented performers took to the stage to regale the crowd and get everyone into the festive spirit, including students from Hunters Hill High School, local musicians Mars and Alex, Jordan and Alex and Tritone Redemption.
Youngsters were kept entertained with a visit from Santa Claus and his stilt-walking Christmas elves, as well as a glitter bar to make them sparkle in the night.
Carols in the Park also featured a Christmas market offering toys, gifts and a range of delicious food.
The night was capped off with a magnificent fireworks display to make it a magical Christmas event.
Hunter’s Hill Council wishes all in our community a safe and happy festive season and a fulfilling New Year ahead.
