Council services over Christmas and New Year

Council offices will close at 12pm on Tuesday 24 December 2024 and reopen at 8.30am on Thursday 2 January 2025.

Waste collection services will continue as normal. For missed or damaged bin services, please call 1300 136 460.

If you are lodging a development application via the e-planning portal, please note that notifications of these applications will recommence from Monday 13 January 2025.

The Community Recycling Centre, at 8 Waltham Street, Artarmon, where you can drop off various household problem waste that cannot go in your kerbside bins, is closed from 4pm on Friday 22 December 2024 and will reopen on Thursday 2 January 2025 at 8am.

The Yarn library and community space will close from 4pm on Monday 23 December and will reopen on Friday 3 January at 10am.

An after-hours return box is available outside the arcade at 64 Gladesville Road, Hunters Hill.  

The Woolwich Peninsula has traffic controls in place for New Year’s Eve, and access will be restricted. Please check our New Year's Eve website page for the latest updates.
