Hunters Hill Day is marked on Wednesday 31 July, a special occasion that recognises our Municipality’s independence and strong community values.

This year marks seven years since our community successfully fought a proposed amalgamation with neighbouring councils.

This day holds great significance as it represents the strong connection our Community has with Hunter's Hill Council, and how they identify with the values, character and amenity of our municipality - something that Council instills and protects. It also symbolises the unwavering determination of our community to uphold local governance.

Our long-standing history has led to the recognition of our area as ‘Australia’s oldest garden suburb.’ Over two-thirds of our municipality is in a conservation area.

We encourage you to reflect on and appreciate all that is great about Hunters Hill on this day.
