Hunters Hill Day is a special occasion that recognises our municipality’s independence and strong community values. On this day, seven years ago, our community successfully fought a proposed amalgamation with neighbouring councils.
The day holds great significance as it represents our community's strong connection with Hunter's Hill Council. The community is proud of the values, character and amenity we have in the Hunters Hill municipality and Council is committed to protecting those attributes.
The Hunter Hill area has a long-standing history of community stewardship. As Australia’s oldest garden suburb, the tree-lined streets are enticing and the peninsula is always inviting. Two-thirds of the municipality is listed in heritage conservation areas. As the smallest Council area in NSW, we're tiny but mighty. We encourage you to reflect on everything that you think is great about Hunters Hill on this day and share it with us on Facebook and Instagram.
