Thousands of people enjoyed the Spring edition of the Moocooboola Festival at Boronia Park Ovals on Sunday.

The flagship event in Hunter’s Hill was proudly sponsored by Optus. It was bursting with family-friendly entertainment including rides, a circus playground, carnival attractions, food stalls, a market bazaar, live performances, free photo magnets and the popular Dog Show.

The official opening of the new Boronia Park Sports and Community Facility with Mayor Zac Miles, NSW Local Government Minister Ron Hoenig and Lane Cove MP Anthony Roberts, kicked off the festivities.

The event was a great opportunity for locals to connect with others in the community and to learn about services and local organisations in the area.

Mayor Zac Miles said it was a wonderful day out for the community who absolutely love this Festival.

“Bringing our community together and celebrating Hunters Hill is what makes events like the Moocooboola Festival so special. It's fantastic to see everyone here enjoying the festivities,” said Mayor Zac Miles.

Local dance ensembles and musicians took the stages to share their talent and entertain the crowd, while local clubs involved attendees in interactive displays of pickleball and croquet.

The Kids Zone kept youngsters entertained with face painting, child-friendly attractions, an interactive circus playground and jumping castle.

The market bazaar featured local organisations and businesses, offering creative fashion and accessories, food, perfume, jewellery, homewares, clothing and more.

The day was a testament of the strong sense of community spirit that exists in Hunters Hill.

Hunter’s Hill Council thanks its sponsors and the other local businesses, organisations, volunteers and community members who participated and helped make this year’s Moocooboola Festival a huge success.
