New housing targets set by NSW Government

The NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure have released updated housing targets across the State. Under the National Housing Accord, the NSW Government plan to deliver 377,000 new well-located homes across the state by 2029.

For Hunter's Hill Council, our housing target is now 400 new homes by 2029.

The previous dwelling targets included within Council's Local Housing Strategy (prepared by the former Greater Sydney Commission) were: 

  • 0-5 years – 150 new dwellings (2016-2021) 
  • 6-10 years – 150-200 new dwellings (2022-2026)
