New Facility at Boronia Park opening soon

An official opening of the Boronia Park Sports and Community Facility will be held on Sunday 13 October 2024, coinciding with our annual Moocooboola Festival.
The facility is set to be open for bookings from Friday, 18 October 2024 and can accommodate up to 150 people in the upper level indoor community space and terrace. The terrace has stunning views of the harbour foreshore and surrounding bushland.
Under the guidelines determined by the Local Planning Panel (LPP) the building can be used for weddings, birthdays and private celebrations before 5pm. Community groups will also be able to book the facility from:
- 6am to 10pm Monday to Sunday
- 7am to 5pm Sunday
Public toilets on the ground level will be accessible to park users from 7am to 7pm starting from August 26.
The community will have the convenience of booking the venue through our online booking system on the Community Spaces page on our website.
All bookings made on the website for use of the facility will be tentative and confirmed when Council reviews availability and alignment with any existing licence and conditions of consent.
Council has received the Occupation Certificate (OC) for the facility and will now finalise contractual obligations and fit out of the building, including audio visual equipment, etc.
