Speed limit on Boronia Avenue to be reduced

Transport for NSW (TFNSW) has informed Council that there will be a reduced speed limit along Boronia Avenue, Hunters Hill (adjacent to Boronia Park Ovals).

The new speed limit will be 40km/h in line with the NSW Speed Zoning Standard.

Council asked TFNSW to review the speed on the road following safety concerns raised by the Movement and Transport Advisory Committee. As there is no footpath along Boronia Avenue, TFNSW found that it was safest to reduce the speed limit as it is a shared road with pedestrians and vehicles.

This is expected to be implemented by TfNSW on 17 June 2024.
