Friends of Boronia Park

Boronia Park plays a critical role in environmental conservation within Hunters Hill by hosting three Endangered Ecological Communities: Sydney Turpentine-Ironbark Forest; Estuarine Swamp Oak Forest; and Estuarine Saltmarshes. This precious collection of highly threatened communities could not survive and thrive without the diligent regeneration work of the Friends of Boronia Park.

With their efforts primarily focused on ensuring that invasive weed species are not able to overrun and outcompete native plants, the work of our bushcare volunteers is vital to supporting the wildlife corridors that make up the rich ecological tapestry within Boronia Park.

The Friends of Boronia Park are always looking for people who want to get involved and help out with their exceptional efforts. Through your involvement, you can expect to learn all about bush and wildlife conservation, as well as acquire practical skills in ecological management.

This Bushcare group meets on the third Sunday of each month, at 8.30am.
