Before applying for a tree permit, check if the tree is protected.

You will need to apply for a tree DA instead of a tree permit, if the tree is:

• heritage listed
• a significant tree
• within a heritage listed property
• within a heritage conservation area
• subject to a current Development Application.

Step 2.Prepare Information

To apply for a tree permit you must provide:

• the species or common name
• the estimated height
• property owners consent(PDF, 427KB)
• a site plan.
