Riverglade Reserve

Riverglade Reserve features a wonderful mixture of both mangrove wetlands and open grassy areas.  There is a walking/cyclist track that runs through the entire length of the reserve, which is very popular with our community.  There are also two large soccer pitches, which can be booked for sporting activities.

Shows the access bridge that leads from Manning Road into Riverglade reserve. Bridge is flanked by tall trees which host a large colony of flying foxes.

Observation platform that overhangs the Tarban Creek, this location allows you to more closely observe the flying foxes. The lookout platform is made of wood and the sun can be seen filtering in through the trees.

Photo shows some of the extensive mangrove wetland environment that makes Riverglade Reserve such a critical environment for our native wildlife. The grove extends for up to a hundred meters in frame and eventually it becomes obscured by distance.

Extensive storm clouds can be seen in the sky but the sunlight is illuminating the outer edges. The left pathway leads down next to the water whereas the right pathway leads down past more trees.

6:00am permitted for set up only.
