Visitor Permits

Council provides visitor parking permits to eligible residents with the Woolwich Area (W1). These physical permits exempt vehicles from parking time restrictions in sign-posted areas.

Eligibility

Eligible Properties

  • Woolwich Road from No.74 to Gale Street and No. 73 to No. 103
  • Gale Street from Woolwich Road to The Point Road
  • Collingwood Street from No. 5 to No. 17
  • Margaret Street from No.16 and No.18
  • Alfred Street from Margaret to Edgecliff Road
  • Elgin Street adjacent to No.4 to No.8
  • Franki Avenue

Exclusions

  • The scheme does not include businesses
  • To ensure that the number of permits issued is not more than the number of on-street spaces, all strata units or multi-dwelling properties are excluded to apply
  • Council may refuse a permit if they determine that the property has adequate off street parking. 

Conditions

  1. Vehicle is not a truck, bus, tram, tractor or trailer (boat or caravan)
  2. Vehicle is registered in NSW
  3. A valid permit exempts a vehicle from time restrictions only when parked in an area signposted with ‘permit holders excepted Area W1’.
  4. A parking permit does not provide exemptions from other parking restrictions or laws, for example bus zone, loading zone, no stopping, no parking
  5. A parking permit does not guarantee a parking space within a permit parking area
  6. Should your circumstances change and the permit holder no longer meets the eligibility criteria, the permit is no longer valid and the permit must be cancelled by submitting the applicable form to Council.
  7. Visitor Parking Permit is valid until 30 June of each year. It is the permit holder’s responsibility to renew parking permit at this time even if your details remain unchanged.
  8. Should your permit be lost or stolen it will not be replaced.

Visit our Customer Service team at 22 Alexandra Street Hunters Hill, between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

Step 4.Receive Your Permit 

Our Customer Service team will provide you with a physical visitors parking permit and confirmation letter.
