Electronic Waste

E-waste is the broken or obsolete electronic items lying around your house. There are a number of ways you can safely recycle your old or broken electronic items.

We are lucky to have a Community Recycling Centre only 6km away from our area where you can drop off accepted items at no cost.

Check the Northern Sydney CRC website for more information including operating hours.

Battery disposal

Batteries can ignite and explode when put in household bins and cause truck fires which are dangerous to our drivers and the community. It may also result in delays to your collection service when a vehicle is being repaired/replaced.

Batteries are often hidden in many common household items. Be sure to remove them before disposing of them correctly. Your local IGA, Coles, Woolworths, Bunnings, Officeworks and Aldi should all have a battery drop off box which accepts most common household batteries. Find a location nearest to you.

Mobile phones also contain batteries which often can't be removed. These devices should be recycled through MobileMuster
