Council has been informed that there will be temporary traffic changes while Transport for NSW (TfNSW) carries out bridge maintenance works on Gladesville Bridge, off Victoria Road, Gladesville.

The works are part of their project to upgrade the barrier screens on both sides of Gladesville Bridge later this year. Prior to construction commencing, TfNSW need to test the concrete on the underside of the bridge. This is expected to take place over four nights between Sunday 25 August and Sunday 29 September, weather permitting. Work hours on the selected days will run between 8pm and 5am, Monday to Thursday. During the works, there will be partial lane closures and a reduced speed limit, which may affect travel times. Pedestrians should follow the directions of onsite traffic controllers.

The next stage of the project will take place later in the year and will include the removal of existing safety screens, reinstatement of concrete, and the installation of new safety screens.

For any enquiries, contact TFNSW’s project infoline at 1800 735 563.
